DOCENTS

What is a Docent? A Docent is a trained Volunteer that makes Strathearn Historical Park & Museum possible.  Our Docents go through a course on the history of Simi Valley plus the specific history of Simi Valley that is presented at the park. Our Docents participate in many activities including taking visitors on tours of the park, conducting school tours, holding the Visitor's Center open, running the gift shop, making our many events possible and even a construction and/or maintenance project or two. Being a Docent is enjoyable, interesting and rewarding.

Become a Docent at Strathearn Historical Park. To become a Docent, simply call Karla Hubbell at 818-388-3301. Even if you can only volunteer a few hours a month, your services are needed and will be most appreciated. Strathearn Historical Park and Museum is a very unique place and is one of the things that sets Simi Valley apart from most other communities. It is special because of our history, the many buildings and historical items found within the park, and the extraordinary Docents that bring the park to life.  Click Here for printable Docent application  Form will appear in a new window.
