Strathearn Park Docent Since 2005

I have lived in Simi Valley almost my whole life. It will be 40 years this June. I am actually a 2^nd generation docent here at the park. My dad was a docent for many years while my mom was busy with city politics, so I guess I got the history bug early in life. I’ve been a docent since 2005 and I am really enjoying our city’s history with every new piece of information I uncover. I married my high school sweetheart in 1981 and we have 3 wonderful children. The youngest is graduating high school this year so I decided to spend my free time here at the park. I enjoy working around the property, especially with the farm implements and the on going restoration projects of tractors and gas powered tools.
