![]() A picture of the destruction caused by the flood of 1952. It washed out Erringer Rd. between Royal and Patricia. This picture looks east showing the end of Erringer's pavement. |
|
Another picture looking across where Erringer Rd. used to be. |

Bob and Betty Galley (with their baby daughter Ruth), who pastored the church at that time. They went to Africa as missionaries. |
![]() More pictures connected to the Alliance Church. This is from 1950 and shows the women's group. I don't know the names of most of them, but sitting in front on the left is my mother and next to her is Betty Galley. In the row behind them is Mrs. Lyons on the left and Mrs. Sentelle third from left. I think the fifth lady was Mrs. Thomas. |
![]() This picture was taken in 1953 (I think) and is of the youth group. From the left: Ruby Holland, Carol Eads (behind), Bonnie Proctor, Sarah Lyons, Dave Lewis (behind), Violet and Clifton Lesley (pastor), I don't remember name of fellow behind them, and Tim Flanagan on right. |

The pictures are of the 1949 snow in Simi Valley. The first is a picture taken at the corner of Pitts Road and First St. looking mostly north. That's the side of our house in the background. We were second from the corner. Pitts Road was later renamed Royal Ave. since that's what it was called on the other side of First. |
This picture is the front of our house with a friend and me making a snowman. My parents were Jim and Elizabeth Reynolds. |
A picture of my mother walking north on First St. To the left is Pete Flanagan's field. |
|
This photo is taken standing beside Royal Ave. looking west toward First St. That's the back of Singleton's house who lived on the corner of First and Royal. |
This picture is taken from almost the same spot on Royal, but looking sort of north west at our boysenberry bushes next to Carlton's house. |
This picture is looking up Appleton's driveway at his car. They lived on the other side of Carltons. I believe this was Bill Appleton, father of the current Bill Appleton who took pictures at our class reunion. |

Here are some pictures of Carlton's horses standing in the middle of Royal Ave. with Pat Carlton. They lived in the first house on Royal down from First St. and raised Palominos. The picture on the right shows one of their horses by their sign for "Golden Acres". |
