Hello, my name is
Stephanie Sara Lapeyre-Montrose. I am a third generation Ventura
County resident. My mother's family were of French and Belgium
descent and had a ranch on Tierra Rejada in Moorpark. My
father's family were of Russian descent and after first settling
on the East Coast came to California when my father was a small
child. My childhood was filled with enriching activities. I
studied dance, such as belly dancing, ballet and tap. I was an
avid swimmer for fifteen years, and had instruction in the many
different styles, including synchronized swimming. I was heavily
involved in the local Tapo 4-H Club for seven years, and joined
the FFA my senior year in High School.
As an adult I continued my volunteer activities as a docent
at Strathearn Historical Park and am involved in the Ventura
County Coast Geologic Society, where I am currently the
secretary. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Geologic
Sciences and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the
University of California, Santa Barbara.
I've really enjoyed meeting all the people I have met and all
the friendships I have made through all of my experiences. My
one true ambition is to leave the world a better place than what
I found it in.
Stephanie
